PD technology: bridging the gap between CD and rewritable optical

PD is a new, non-magnetic, optical data storage technology. It will change the way you work with your computer because PD drives are like two drives in one. In addition to reading and writing data to PD rewritable optical disks, they can read CDs of all kinds, so there's no need to have a separate CD-ROM drive in your computer.

Your PD drive can read CDs in the following formats:
CD-Audio................CD-XA
CD-ROM mode 1 ...Photo-CD
CD-ROM mode 2....CD+

3M PD optical media is compatible with PD drives from Panasonic Communications and Systems, Inc., a division of Matsushita Electric Company of America, NEC Technologies, Toray Optical Storage Solutions, and Plasmon Data, Inc.
